Please update this model following these steps, otherwise you will brick you device.
Make sure the DVR is fully charged before you update.

1. Down load the firmware(gp_cardvr_upgrade.bin) to your SD card and insert it on your device.
Make sure you have formatted the card first.

2. Turn on the device, it will show 1%.....to 100% once this is at 100% and the blue light stops
    flashing, the firmware is updated.

3. Remove SD card while the unit is still ON

4. Insert a pin in the reset hole(top of the unit) and press down to reset.

Now this is ready. 

NOTICE 
Format the SD card  on your desk top otherwise it will try to another update.
Menu setting are reset to factory default. You must input you setting again.
